Have you heard the news?

We’re bringing a new 3-day summer academy to our county that allows students to explore the inside of a power generating dam and its powerhouse; the workings of a fish hatchery; and the new hydrogen/battery fueled mining truck operations of First Mode.

Activities include donning lineworker gear and climbing a power pole, learning about fiber optics, building a hydropower model AND building a hydrogen fuel cell car.  Students will meet engineers, operators, trades workers, conservationist and more – and learn all about careers in this electrifying world.

We have room for 22 students, entering grades 9 through 11. The academy includes field trip transportation, snacks, lunch, activities, tours and career/education information.

When? June 25-27
