A joint United States – British Columbia event featuring innovative models, marketing techniques and incentives to engage and expand employers who use apprenticeship programs – Bellingham, Washington.

The Washington State Department of Labor & Industries – Office of Apprenticeship, Washington State Apprenticeship Training Council, and the United States Department of Labor – Office of Apprenticeship are pleased to host the second Pacific Northwest Apprenticeship Education Conference, April 17 and 18 at the Port of Bellingham.

The premiere event held in 2010 attracted more than 450 participants from seven states and two countries and introduced partners to apprenticeships. This second event concentrates on business-friendly practices, innovative apprenticeship models and employer incentives that are working in the Pacific Northwest.

The event is designed as a regional exchange of ideas, products and services presented by each participating state and province in general sessions and interactive clinics. Participants can register for networking dinners to further engage with peers and develop plans to implement strategies gained at the conference.
