The Pacific Northwest Center of Excellence/”A Centralia College Partnership” and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Power & Energy Society (IEEE PES) will host a workshop for energy tech, pre-engineering and engineering students June 1 at Seattle University – Bannan 102.

Students will meet engineers, trades and craftspeople and will learn how clean energy, smart grid and electric vehicles are shaping the needs of tomorrow’s workforce.

International IEEE PES leaders, Dr. Kevin Schneider, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory; Dr. Robin Podmore, Incremental Systems; and Prof. Henry Louie, Seattle University/IEEE PES VP of Membership and Image, will present information to students.

Participants will be able to interact with the Incremental Systems Power System Simulator.

The event will be held at Seattle University, Bannan 102, 901 12th Ave., in Seattle – June 1 from 10 am to 3 pm.
