This week Governor Jay Inslee proclaimed Oct. 16-23, 2021, as Careers in Energy Week.
Signed on Oct. 11, the proclamation states that “through collaboration, the Pacific Northwest Center of Excellence for Clean Energy, housed at Centralia College, will promote and organize statewide events to inform Washingtonians about rewarding careers and training opportunities in energy.”

Among the opportunities to engage are:
- Plan now to start winter quarter in the newly revised Industrial Trades program at Centralia College
- Explore clean energy careers
- Learn who’s hiring on the COE Job Board
- Inquire about an internship or apprenticeship program at a local utility
- Thank a utility worker and learn what they do!
