Owners of 20,000+ sq. ft. buildings are being asked by the Washington State Department of Commerce to join a webinar on April 13 at 10:30 a.m. The webinar is an introduction to the rulemaking process for the state’s expanded Clean Buildings Performance Standard.

Building owners are encouraged to provide input on shaping energy efficiency requirements, financial incentives and assistance under the state’s expanded Clean Buildings Standard.

Clean buildings are essential to meeting Washington’s climate goals.

The buildings sector is the state’s second-biggest carbon polluter behind transportation, accounting for 27% of statewide emissions. Investment in building energy efficiency is the most cost-efficient way to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
