Snohomish PUD recently announced that they have been recognized as a Platinum Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3) by the American Public Power Association (APPA) for providing reliable and safe electric service to customers. The honor of the award is given to providers who demonstrate proficiency in four key disciplines: Safety, Reliability, Workforce Development, and System Improvement.

The PUD, one of only 250 utilities in the nation to be recognized as an RP3 utility, was awarded 95 out of a possible 100 points in its application to earn Platinum-level recognition. The RP3 designation will last from May 1, 2025 through April 30, 2028.
