The Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD) has teamed up with SkillsUSA, the #1 workforce development organization for students, to support the new Energy and Natural Resources Career Cluster, part of Advance CTE’s Modernized Career Clusters Framework that guides the nation’s career and technical education system.
CEWD and SkillsUSA will work together to support the rollout of the new Energy and Natural Resources Career Cluster, spanning careers in traditional and renewable fuel production, power generation and energy conversion, utilities, environmental preservation, ecological research, and resource extraction. The dedicated cluster makes it easier for students to connect with the energy and natural resources industry and increases exposure to the dynamic job opportunities available to them.
CEWD will also host a Try-a-Skill booth at SkillsUSA TECHSPO, the nation’s largest career and technical education trade show held during SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference. The Try-a-Skill experience gives participants an opportunity to learn first-hand about potential careers and essential skills needed to thrive in the energy industry.
