The Pacific Northwest Center of Excellence for Clean Energy and the Washington State Labor Council are coordinating statewide events to celebrate the third annual Careers in Energy Week, a national initiative developed by the Center for Energy Workforce Development.
Utilities and workforce partners are wrapping up final plans for events to occur Oct. 14 – 20, 2013. Events include attending or hosting career fairs, luncheons, open houses and interactive activities for kids.

Oct. 8: City of Spokane Valley reads and presents proclamation
Oct. 8: Spokane County Commissioners reads and presents proclamation

Oct. 10: Veterans’ Taskforce Luncheon: Pathways into Energy Careers, Spokane
Oct. 14 (11 am to 3 pm): Technology Career Fair at Eastern Washington University (EWU)
Oct. 14 (2 – 4 pm): Meet and Greet at Veterans’ Center at EWU
Oct. 15: Career Fair at Gonzaga University
Oct. 15: Monthly Science Café (rollercoaster energy), Girl Scout Center, Spokane
Oct. 16 (3:30 – 5 pm): Open House/reception at Centralia College Energy Tech with professionals
Oct. 17: Future Workforce Needs at Columbia Basin College, Gjerde Center, Pasco
Oct. 16 (8:30 to noon): Apprenticeship Workshop for Counselors at Jack Stewart Training Center, Spokane
