The University of Washington’s CoMotion labs serve as a multi-industry incubator for early-stage startups in the greater Seattle area, as well as the UW community. CoMotion provides essential infrastructure and opportunities for learning, mentoring, and networking to nurture and enable success. The newest Incubator, Climate Tech, recently announced its inaugural cohort starting July 1.
More than 30 companies applied to the eight-month program, which is part of the recently launched Seattle Climate Innovation Hub, and six were selected. The teams move into the Incubator in July and are scheduled to graduate in February 2026. Member benefits include professional workspace downtown, access to UW facilities and resources, and an ecosystem of mentorship, networking, and entrepreneurship training.
“The companies joining the CoMotion Labs Climate Tech Incubator represent the cutting edge of Washington’s most promising and rapidly growing industries, from aerospace and mobility to advanced materials, AI, and circular economy solutions,” said Ashlee Esteban, director of CoMotion Labs. “These innovators are not only tackling the climate crisis head-on, they’re laying the foundation for a resilient green economy. By supporting these startups, we’re building a future where Washington leads in climate innovation, creates high-quality green jobs, and drives inclusive economic development across the region.”
