The Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD) has launched resources and tools for educators, industry leaders, and policymakers aimed at preparing the next generation for evolving high-demand energy and natural resources careers.

CEWD includes ready-to-use materials, access points, and guidance to address the growing energy workforce. They serve as an implementation action plan to address workforce awareness opportunities across education, industry, and policy; as well as an opportunity for the industry to connect with students in classrooms. With increasing demand for all types of professionals, CEWD is leading the industry’s response and providing the strategic frameworks needed to jumpstart progress in workforce development.

  • For Industry
    • EnergyConnector, a new digital matchmaking platform that allows the industry to connect with educators, sharing expertise, resources, and real-world experiences that enhance classroom learning. This platform will build a robust network of industry partners committed to backing energy curriculum adoption and equipping educators with the tools they need
  • For Policy Influences
    • Advises policymakers and influencers to prioritize the implementation of the ENR Career Cluster and energy curriculum within their states and communities. Introducing energy education early is important to advancing state and regional energy policy priorities and allows states to align workforce development with the energy sector’s needs, drive economic growth, and better prepare students for future career opportunities.
  • For Educators
    • Delivers a lineup of practical, easy-to-use resources designed to engage students in energy careers, align with academic standards, and empower educators to teach energy and natural resources. These include: EnergyAccelerator, EnergyConnector, ENR Competencies & Framework, and Energy Industry Fundamentals (EIF) 2.0.
